Write a Message Tilda 2

 Hello Magnolia friends!
I have a card and a calendar to share with you today. First is my card:
I went for a simple card using Write a Message Tilda from the Lost and Found Collection. Colored with Distress Ink Reinkers, I used the colors that matched the Magnolia Designer patterned paper. This is an A2 (4.25 x 5.5) sized card and I think I'm gonna make more cards in this size.

Here's a closer look at Tilda

The sentiment is from LOTV. For the heart, I die cut 5 small hearts, glues them together and added some glitter with a clear Wink of Stella, then finished it off with Glossy Accents.

The inside of the card is kept simple.

Now, for the calendar.  I know it's a bit late to make calendars for this year but we have 12 months and we are just about to jump into March so  this calendar is still good for at least 10 more months.
Here, I used Copics to color Violet Tilda from the Sea Breeze Collection.

And...
Have you seen the new Zodiac Collection? It's available now in some webstores and still on pre-order for others. Check our your favorite stockist to see all the cute images in this collection! So what's your zodiac sign?

Another thing is the New Magnolia Ink Magazine. It's already out too! This issue has tons of gorgeous cards and tutorials or step by step and some sneak peaks of more stamps that are coming with in the next few months! So make sure you grab a copy!

Lastly, I hope you all have a great weekend.
Thanks for stopping by!

Peaceful Tilda at SSS

It's a beautiful Sunday here in Chicago and as the piles of snow melt, and I see tiny patches of grass showing and it reminds me that Spring is just around the corner. Or at least that's what I'm hoping.

Today,  I have a special card for the Simon Says Stamp Blog. I'm so honored to be their guest for today and I'm so thankful to SSS for inviting me.

I used Peaceful Tilda from the Winder Wonderland Collection and colored her with Distress Ink Reinkers. Here's a closer look at Tilda

The Sentiment is from Ali Edward Bright Ideas. I inked it up using Memento Luxe Toffee Crunch and I embossed it with clear embossing powder.

I used die cut paper flowers for this card. For the small pink flowers, I used MFT Die-namics Mini Rolled Roses.

The edges of the card were distressed, painted with acrylic paint the sewn before adhering to the card base. I use a thick card stock or watercolor paper for the card base especially when my card has lots of embellishments.  It helps support the card.
