Another Bridal Gown

You can find my Birthday Candy if you scroll down or click -------->>>>>>>HERE

*~*~*~*~*~*

Hello again! It's my second post for today.
I made another Tilda Bride card from the  Special Moments Collection. This collection is now available for pre-order in some webstores and will soon be available to more webstores within a week or two.  This is my 2nd card using Tilda Bride.  This time I used Copic Sketch Markers to color the image. It's been a while since my last Copic colored image so please bear with my coloring.

For her dress I used crocheted  lace and layered it the grayish shimmery ribbon and some white tulle underneath. I also added so stickles on the edges of the gray ribbon mainly to avoid fraying.

For my DooHickey Feature on this card, I used Feather.

Hello everybody!
In a rate of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest)....how much do you love
Magnolia DooHickeys?
For me, I'd say I would give myself a rate of 12!  :) LOL! Well that's how much I love the dies!
There are about 97 DooHickeys dies from Magnolia as of now. And they I'm sure there are more dies coming with the new collections. Some come in sets or pairs. Some are individual dies.
But all of them are just beautiful and they go well with the stamp designs and collections.

Every now and then, I will be featuring Magnolia DooHickey Dies in my posts. I always use them but most of the time, the focal point of the project and the main focus of the post is the stamp. So this time, I am going to give special attention to the DooHickeys I will use.
I will be using old and new DooHickey Dies on my cards or projects.  And I also have a few tutorials in mind. So I hope you watch out for it.

In the mean time... do you still remember which was your first DooHickey Die? And how did you use it? and what did you make with it? Do you still have it?

My first DooHickey Die was the Cherry Lace from the Cozy Family Collection 2010

I made a birthday card with the die but I didn't have a photo of it and I gave it to a one of my hubby's patients.  So I made a similar card...almost exactly the same as the one I originally made.

I also made a small envelop with the cherries on the side.

The sentiment and the design paper are both from Magnolia.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see you again next time!

Birthday Candy

It's now time for my Birthday Candy!

I have been blessed with another year and I am thankful for everything. Even though last year was a rough year for me... with all my oral surgeries and the swelling that came with it... you my followers and friends have kept me looking forward to your comments and inspiration.  You made me smile (even though it was painful with all the stitches and soreness)

In return, I would like to give some candy!
And this will run until June 8, 2013 at midnight.

I have about 10 yards of assorted ribbons, lace and seam binding.
Some flowers and stamens. There is also a small bag of charms and a pack of foam sticks which are really great for card embellishments.  It has 10 sticks of each color (white, pink, blue and lavender)

I am giving 2 (yes TWO!) Candy packs with the same contents but only 1 will get this
New Castle DooHickey Die from the Once Upon a Time Collection.
I have another 2 same Candy Packs on my MAIN BLOG but only the entries here on my
Magnolia Blog will get the chance to have the DooHickey added to the candy packs.

You can enter in both of my blogs but you can only win once.

*~*~*~*~*~*

So, if you like my creations, Be a follower  (Bloglovin, Networked Blogs or Google Reader/Blogger)
I really would love to give the candy to someone who appreciates my work. Not only for the candy.
That means, NO Candy-Only Blogs.
It's sad to see bloggers unfollow after they don't win the candy.

Add your name on the link below.

Lastly, but most important...
you must love Magnolia!

Good Luck and Thanks for stopping by!

Special Post Delay

Hi. I'm sorry was not able to make my "special" post yesterday. I will do it over the weekend after I figure out how to put the inlinkz thingy.

It's for my Birthday candy! I turned thirty "something" yesterday (May 23) and while I was working on the post, my husband and son took me out for lunch, then we hung-out for a while then they took me out again for dinner. So, I basically didn't have time to work on my post.

In the mean time, I have another card to share.
This is Sitting Tilda with Butterfly from Once Upon a Time Collection and
Nativity Fence from the Nativity Collection.

*~*~*~*~*

I hope you like my card today.
I do apologize for my candy delay but watch out for it because there will be a
DooHickey Die included!

Happy weekend to all of you

Special Moments

Hello my lovelies!
Are you ready for the new Special Moments Collection from Magnolia?
It is coming really soon!

You probably have seen a few new images from my other Magnolia Team mates and I am just as excited as the rest of you.

For another teaser, I have a new creation from a familiar image/stamp
and here it is ...

This image was in the cover of the last Magnolia Ink (Issue #2) and it's call Doo Bee Pops Tilda Bride. Instead of using  Doo Bee Pops Paper for her gown, I used white lace instead.

Gift Card Envelop

Hello my lovelies! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
Have you ever given a gift card to someone? But why a gift card?
Were you too busy you forgot to buy a gift?
Or you just don't know what to give the person?
Did you just stick it inside a plain envelop?
Or even just handed it to them?
Hmmm... I think I have answered "yes" to my own questions!

Here, I'd like to share a gift card holder/envelop using Magnolia DooHickey Dies to decorate it.
For the image, I colored Little Cute Tilda from the
Once Upon a Time Collection with DI Reinkers.

I used 7 DooHickey Dies to make this simple project:
Peacock Feathers
Flags
Tilda Envelop Edge
Bon Vogaye Foliage
Magnolia Tree
Dream Tag
Heart Swirl

I used some jute string to close the flap.

For the size of the mini envelop, I based it on the width of the envelop edge die. It's a bit too big for my iTunes gift card but I guess the extra space is perfect for a small note or letter for the recipient.

I hope you like my simple project for today.
Magnolia  DooHickey Dies are super cute and versatile that you can use them on any project.
Add them to your collection now. They're available at your favorite craft store and stockist.

Thanks for dropping by!
See you again next time.
